RMLI Runs Trains At The Northport Public Library

The Railroad Museum of Long Island had the pleasure of hosting “ALL ABOARD for Model Trains” at the Northport Public Library Museum Cove on the weekend of January 15th 2011. The event took place next to a new exhibit that is set up in the cove by the museum through May. The Museum was happy to entertain a few hundred people over the weekend that came out to see some trains at a time in the winter where the museum is closed. This was an outstanding chance for the museum to inform the public about the museum that did not already know about it. We ran a nice selection of trains that represented the Long Island Rail Road, and it’s Pennsylvania Rail Road heritage. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported the Museum. Saturday Photos were taken by Anthony DeBellis, Presidents’ Aide de Camp. Sunday Photos were taken by Don Fisher, President. Make sure you don’t miss the new Long Island Rail Road exhibit at the library before it is to late this May.
