LIONEL Michigan Visitor’s center Layout is Moved Inside

After the museum got the layout to New York the First Step was to renovate our old storage building into an exhibit hall. In the months since installation has gone in and the drywall has been put up with the room spackled and painted with a sky blue celling. AC and Heat have been installed in the original Potato storage room along with a modern state of the art security system. The following pictures illustrate the work that went on.

Then today the layout was moved into the newly renovated exhibit hall. After placing the container closer to the building to make it easier to move the layout in, the layout was transported into the building. The pieces where hand carried by a large number of volunteers on hand in only a few hours. The layout was placed on the floor and saw horses to prepare for the reconstruction. Much work will be completed over the fall and winter months for the Grand Opening on April 9th 2011. The storage container will be removed from the property and sold to help fund the reconstruction.

THE WORK COMPLTED SO FAR WILL BE AVALIBLE FOR DISPLAY AT THE RIVERHEAD RR FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND, THE 28TH AND 29TH
