Annual Educational Forum A Success!
Mr. Ed Koehler did an OUTSTANDING job this weekend presenting to a record 60 people at the 2012 forum. This year’s show was about the Eastern Branches of the Long Island Rail Road in the 1970’s and before. Mr. Koehler took us on on a journey back in time to Greenport, Montauk and Port Jefferson, with many interesting stories and history facts about the LIRR. This included G-5s, C-420’s,GP-38s and more. As usual it was held at the Suffolk Country Historic Society in Riverhead, located across the street from the Riverhead LIRR Station. Special thanks goes to the Suffolk County Historical Society, and Mr. Ed Koehler for making this such a successful event. Also thanks goes out to everyone that came out to enjoy the lecture with us!
